The main struggle getting Palpatine2 to work is finding a decent partner who carries their own weight. In comparison to the non-unique options, such as Death Trooper and Vet Trooper, Phasma brings a single die with only 1 bad side and utility beyond just showing damage.

Thus, a good strategy is to load Phasma up with 1-cost upgrades that provide damage sides or substantial benefit. This cost is maximized by only using DH-17 and Frag Grenade as low-cost damage upgrades and Dark Counsel as utility. In turn, when Phasma is rolled out, there is a high chance of hitting her damage sides and keeping Palp’s power action live as early as possible.

Playing several high cost events is very detrimental due to how resource intensive certain cards can be, but this is circumvented with the inclusion of Logistics for all the resource sides and Mobilize, which can shift the reliance off of Palp’s power action. A first turn 1–cost upgrade and successful Mobilize often leaves plenty to spend on Phasma Blaster or Heirloom.

This build favors toward the odd number cards specifcially because of the potential healing from Witch Magick and removal from Spell of Removal. I previously played ran 2 Rise Again but ran into the issue of drawing it at the right time and rarely muscling enough resources and damage sides to play it. With how fast rounds are in the meta, it is too unreliable to make 2 work while still paying for everything else. While there are few 0 cost events worth playing, and some omitted 1 cost events, I’ve found this build to be consistant in rolling varying damage sides and balancing out high cost events and removal based events nicely.

This deck would benefit from some Law and Order especially with Palp's ability. Also, Force Throw might be a good deterrent dice. Possibly some other Force ability upgrades since Palp is the one you want alive at the end of this.

Not sure how I missed using frag grenade with palp, seems like a no brainer
