I finished 2nd in a small regional (22 players - 5 rounds then cut to top-4) in Winnipeg, Manitoba with this decklist. This deck is very, very close to the Fargo Regional winner designed by the guys from The Destiny Council. Those guys build great decks.
I took their deck and made just a few minor changes for what I thought would help me in Winnipeg. I removed Abandon All Hope & Boundless Ambition and replaced them with 2 copies of Clash. I really like the ability to turn my dice, and I expected melee-based decks. I also cut a Feel Your Anger in favour of a 2nd Doubt. I love Doubt. In Swiss I faced:
- Boba Fett - Deadly Mercenary / Seventh Sister - Agile Inquisitor (Win)
- Finn - Soldier of Necessity / Rose - Skilled Mechanic / Jedha Partisan (Win)
- Aayla Secura - Jedi General / Rose - Skilled Mechanic / Ezra Bridger - Force-sensitive Thief (Win)
- Poe Dameron - More Than A Pilot / Hondo Ohnaka - Respected Businessman (Loss)
- Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Master / Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen (Win)
I was 4th after Swiss and faced the same Poe/Hondo player in the Semis. I was able to beat him 2-1 to move on to the final against a very good player playing another Boba-Sister deck. His build was also similar to the Destiny Council's build, but ran Alter rather than Clash. He beat me 2-1 to win the tournament.
In my loss to Poe/Hondo, I made the mistake of first attacking Poe, then switching targets in round 2 to Hondo. That was a poor play. In the Semi-Finals, I targeted Hondo first and had much more success.
In the final, I targeted Boba Fett. In hindsight it would have been a better choice to take out Seventh Sister instead because Maul's Saber wrecked me twice.
