Nothing too tricky here. I just love guardian as an ability, so I try to leverage that here. It would do a lot better with two Temple Guards, but I only have one (well, half. The promos don't come with dice).
Get something cool on your temple guard. Kill him off with his guardian ability. Move cool thing to Ketsu. Hide behind shields and dice removal while you're buffing Ketsu. The Hired Gun doesn't really need upgrades, but you can throw the odd thing on him or redeploy Rey's saber to him if necessary.
