Used to play with my Bargain Hunter team (Hondo/Quinlan) but couldn't quite strike a balance and make it consistent enough. Considering how good the Dark Advisor special is, though, I wanted to try pairing him with Quinlan. All I needed then was a 7-cost Villain to round out the 30pts - and Bazine Netal - Master Manipulator fits the bill pretty well with a double shield side, 8 health, and access to all my favourite Yellow cards.
Anyway, still testing this out but the aim is get out a Command Shuttle pretty early (or a Cunning) and bounce between the specials on Dark Advisor and Quinlan Vos - Dark Disciple for large amounts of pain. Bazine makes herself useful with the shields she can provide or discards - although to be honest Respite and Dangerous Maneuver are solely directed at her. If she gets Cunning, I might soak some damage with the Advisor instead, however.
For the most part, the other events are pretty self-explanatory. They either burn their hand out, in the case of Abandon All Hope, Close Quarters Assault, and I Am Your Father, or just removal/mitigation and resource boosts. Upgrades are kind of standard for Quinlan, getting him cards/solid melee or getting rid of the oppponent's cards.
Let me know what you think/recommend!

Aside from that... "fairly casual b-lists" and you add Salvage Stand? ... You're a terrible person. Slightly mitigated by the fact that you give them money with One-Quarter Portion. HA... mitigated. I guess now I'm the terrible person. |

I don't know where you're aiming as far as competitive vs. fun, so take these three notes with that in mind.
Overconfidence. None of your mitigation touches two dice. I realize it's spot blue, but even if you lose your main guy, you still have another blue for spotting.
Force Focus. I know you won't always get the full benefit of it, but it will always add to the consistency of getting his special.
Chance Cube. It can be used for money, or even for drawing cards via Psychometry. Perhaps most significantly, you end a round with it on someone, begin the next round with 5 cards, and then activate that character without paying the resource. Now you have 6 or 7 cards, depending on how many you had in play.
