runningonion 1022

I took this deck to the Maryland Regional where I finished 4-3

Quick summary (I may have the order of games 5 and 6 backwards, i don't remember, but the details are correct):

Game 1: bye 1-0

Game 2: Vader/Greedo 2-0

Crime Lorded Vader round 2.

Game 3: Land/Wedge 2-1

Crime Lorded Wedge round 2, lost anyway

Game 4: Vader/Greedo 2-2

This one will haunt me forever. I had crime lord in the pool with money to pay for it, but he did so much damage i had to resolve it as shields to live. He ended up escaping. 2-2

Game 5: Beckett/Talzin 3-2

Crime lord took a break this game, but 2 fists (1 got sebulba'd) later, i eeked out a win

Game 6: Vader/Greedo 4-2

Crime Lorded Vader round 1.

Game 7: Tarkin/Snoke 4-3

Crime Lorded Snoke round 2. I was showing lethal at the end when he killed me.

Overall i had a blast. All of my opponents were very cool.

The Deck

This deck digs for Ace in the Hole/ Crime Lord. Try to strip their mitigation with the 6 hand peeks (scruffy, coercion, filp). Then crime lord them while they can do nothing about it.

Finding 5 money for crime lord in this deck is ridiculously easy.

I think the deck could potentially make it to tier 1 status, but i haven't had the time to tune it all the way. It would be much easier to get the round 1 crime lord with 2 Ancient Wisdom .

Easy cuts for me are Dark Ritual and Paid off, which were never played all day. Some people might say that the deck needs some mitigation, but what fun is that? I'd probably also cut the cubes for Enrage, so that i can find the money while digging, and i wouldn't have to waste focuses on extra money i don't need. (enrage is the equivalent of a chance cube that rolled 2).
