I've seen lists for Old Daka - Nightsister Necromancer/Jango Fett - Armed To The Teeth and Daka/Qi'Ra - Street Savvy before, but I wanted to make something a bit more absurd, so here we are.
Basic idea is to get bounties, Vow Of Vengeance, and Acceptable Losses so you can make the best use of IG's stupid PA (Keep Common Cause too in case you dont draw what you need. After several test runs, I've found that you can usually cap out at +4 for each Vow Of Vengeance by turn 2, meaning if both are on IG, his PA does 10-11 damage to all your opponents (and 11-12 if Old Daka dies), so use it to lay waste to those 3-wides or just resolve your character dice showing damage to 1-shot literally anything, even a 6-shield Yoda - Mystical Mentor. The bounties pay off exceptionally well for survivability, extra cards, or resource generation to keep you going, just make sure you put the bounties you'll need to go off on the opponent's weakest character.
Due to Bitter Rivalry, you'll normally want to take shields whenever possible (and you should be winning most rollouts with IG's loaded dice), but should you lose a rolloff, your opponent may give them to you anyway when they see Arena of Death - Nar Shaddaa across from them.
CARDS OF NOTE Relentless - You opponent pick off IG's heavy dice? Roll em back in and resolve on your turn (with a nice 50% odds of going right into his PA). Take Flight also helps when you roll bad and it catches your opponent off-guard.
Desperate Measures - Obviously Separatist Embargo and a smart opponent will ruin your day, so if you see red villain, it helps to hard mulligan for this to get it out of the way.
Relentless - Bacta Therapy, Weave The Ichor, Field Medic, Witch Magick are all useless for the round now. Really fun to drop this at the start of turn 2/3 to ensure your opponent cannot come back.
WEAKNESSES This deck's biggest weakness is it's very light on mitigation, so you'll want to be very picky on what you decide to take off your opponent's board, and the fact it only has IG's dice to rely on. Aside from that, the biggest trouble you'll get is any mirror with the same gimmick, which then becomes a race. Even if Daka gets stomped, as long as you got off one acceptable losses and have a Vow on IG, that should still take away their biggest threat in the same round.
I've been testing this with some friends and unless they can spike Daka or IG by early turn 2, I usually win by early turn 3. May bring this to my FLGS scene and see how it does, but any more feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Are you aware that Old Daka's ability about setting the Zombies aside applies to all your Zombies, including the defeated ones? Because, based on your write-up, it seemed like you didn't know this. Then again maybe I just read it wrong, but I thought I'd let you know just in case. |
I always thought that defeated characters didn’t count since you no longer control them |

No curse? (zombies can only do damage on cursed characters...) |
|
FYI each defeated nightsister zombie is still set aside after old Daka is defeated |
The Rules for the Zombies have been clarified that all previously defeated Zombies still count as being defeated after Daka dies (for things like Vow Of Vengeance). The ones currently in play when she dies are set aside and do not count as defeated. |
Hey - I'm very new to this game and Old Daka interested me when I was reading through cards and playing games with some friends on TTS. Is the idea of this list to put bounties on your OWN characters as well? (Is that legal?) so that you can defeat them? It seems like the entire list relies on swdestinydb.com right? I'm going to mess with it on TTS tonight and see how it works! |
What do think would happen if you change it from eIG-88 to rIG-88 and add in Double Down for another acceptable losses and vow of vengence? Howevedr, it would also be more like the rest of the decks, I guess. Maybe a Talisman of Resurrection?
