Say what you will about the last 3 movies, but watching these two team up was awesome. The Spark of Hope iterations of these characters are becoming hard to get in the singles market. But if you can't find them, not to worry, you can use these versions instead!
This is a fun deck for casual play. The legendaries are not core components and can be swapped out while keeping the basic deck themes intact.
Play Knighthood on Rey, and give Kylo the shield, because he is ostensibly your damage engine and first target. If you get a second Knighthood, make Kylo a Jedi just for fun! (But the shield won't hurt.)
Play Seeking Knowledge in round 1. You will draw 3 cards at the start of round 3.
Play Jedi Holocron on Rey. You have to spot a Jedi to play it, so you need that Knighthood first.
When you activate Rey in round 3, you are hoping for a special on Jedi Holocron. Resolve it to draw 3 more cards, in addition to the 3 cards you got from Seeking Knowledge. You now have 11 cards in hand. Is one of them No Mercy? Probably. If you have any damage dice showing, play No Mercy and resolve the damage die, discarding up to 10 cards to take out one of your opponent's characters!
Will those shenanigans come off? Maybe, maybe not. But you also have Sith Holocrons to play with. You don't need to spot a Sith to play those. Slap them down and see what happens! I've gone with Mind Probe as a thematic choice, but if you'd rather have Rey use a Sith Holocron to play Force Storm instead, go for it!
Forsaken and Hidden Motive are auto-includes. Caution is for one of Rey's dice to keep Kylo alive. Steadfast and Willpower are there because I love to send my opponents' damage back at them. You also have a decent chance of transferring 2 damage with Steadfast, with the 6 zero-cost upgrades in your deck.
I loved the last 3 movies also.
